Hi there!

I’m a scientist who loves to bake, and here is where I document my adventures. Maybe you’ll learn a thing a two. Thanks for being here!

Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Valentine's day is looming, and I'm sure it's been on your mind.  Like, what will you be doing, who will you be with, where will you go?  If you're like me you've thinking about all the cute valentines desserts you can make this year.  (Or is that just me?..)  But you know what we seem to forget?  Someone near and dear to us.. Someone who would do anything for us, and who loves us more than anything, someone who seems to miss out on all the love!  That's right, our dogs!  Our loyal companions.  Our best friends.  It's time to show our pups some love.

I made some homemade treats for Riley and she absolutely LOVED them!  I'm sure I could put anything in them and she would still happily devour them.

She's ready for her treat!

They are extremely easy to make and have only 4 ingredients, all of which you probably have on hand.

Peanut Butter Dog Treats:

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup oats

1/2 cup peanutbutter

2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350

Mix all ingredients together until combined. It will be very coarse and you'll need to squish it into a shape with your hands.  Form into hearts and set on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper,   Bake for 10 minutes, and cool for 10 minutes before giving to you pup.  Once they perform their daunting trick for you, award them with a delicious peanut butter treat.  They will be sure to thank you.
