Chinese Five Spice Kettle Corn
Kettle Corn drizzled in brown butter and sprinkled in Chinese Five Spice. It's sweet, savory, salty, and tastes like fall.
My mom told me about Chinese Five Spice after seeing it mentioned in a cooking show once. So far I've used it in my Brown Butter Banana Bread, and also my Spice Sugar Cookies.
Chinese Five Spice is a combination of....you guessed it, FIVE SPICES! Who would'a thunk?
The spices are: cinnamon, anise seed, cloves, ginger, and fennel seed. It can be used in both sweet and savory dishes to add a unique spice blend. Obviously, I've been having fun trying to see where I can slip some in.
Earlier this summer after I made my S'mores Popcorn, I made a list of some fun popcorn combinations to make. This was next on the list!
It's really simple to make, just pop the kettle corn like normal, and sprinkle the spices on. Then brown some butter, drizzle, and start stuffing!
