Sprinkles Of My Life
I am way overdue for another update of "Sprinkles Of My Life"! My last update was in February when I got engaged, and so much has happened in these past couple months!
Let's start with the engagement and wedding planning. We have our venue booked, photographer, and I just recently ordered my dress! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I wish I could wear it forever, and I can't wait for our wedding even more now that I can picture what I'll be wearing. Isn't that funny? It feels so much more "real" now that I have picked out my "outfit". Hah! We've got most of the big things out of the way now, but there are still so many little things to decide and plan. I'm trying to take it one day at a time and not let myself get overwhelmed with it all. Wedding planning should be fun!
Another bit of big news is that I am starting at a new school this fall. I'm attending UC Merced, and I mentioned that I'm also changing my major. I was an Accounting major, and now I'm switching to Biology. You're probably thinking I typed that wrong. Long story. But in a nutshell, I went from something I felt was a safe bet because I was good at it, to now something I can feel passionate and excited about. But it's going to tack on at least another year before I graduate now. Luckily I'm still excited about it..but we'll see how I feel in a few months! Haha.
My fiancé Paul and I both have started new jobs! I got a job as the in-house baker at a café, and am LOVING it! Getting paid to bake and be creative is a dream come true. It's not easy, and can be stressful, but that's what doing something you love should be like, don't you think? It's great! While they look for a replacement for me at my office job, I'm working 2 jobs for about 5 weeks, which means I have a few 10 hour work days a week.. I must say I'll be glad when that's over! Paul graduated at the end of May, and just started in a management position at the warehouse of a certain online retailer! Any guesses? Think...the biggest one. :) We are stoked about this great opportunity for him.
There have been so many big changes in our lives these past couple months, and we'll be glad for things to settle down. Once I start school in a couple weeks and get into my new routine, I'll probably miss all the craziness we've had going on. But for now, I'm enjoying my youthfulness. ;)
Here are some snapshots of the past few months:
