Cucumber Melon Cooler
Crisp, cool, and refreshing. With a hint of ginger, and mixed with lemon-lime soda.
It's only pertinent that we make fruity drinks in the summer. And with the heat we face in a California summer, we realllly need fruity drinks to make us feel better. Cucumber Melon Cooler, anyone?
I remember while growing up Cucumber Melon was my favorite scent. My sisters and I would always have Cucumber Melon body spray, body wash, or lotion. It's one of those scents that just takes me back.
I figured, if it smells so wonderful as a scent, it's gotta taste great too, right?
Indeed!
Let's break it down. The melon flavor is mellowed out with the lemon-lime soda. The cucumber cuts through the sweetness with a refreshing crispness. The little bit of added ginger gives it a sort of zing. All together you've got yourself a delicious and refreshing refresher!

This drink can be whipped up in less than 20 minutes! Chop everything up, stick it in the blender, strain, and stir!
Cucumber Melon Cooler Ingredients:
1 honeydew melon, 3 lbs.
1 large english cucumber
1 tea. of ginger, or less (optional)
4-5 cups lemon-lime soda
Directions:
Slice the honeydew melon into chunks, and puree in a blender until smooth.
Peel the cucumber and slice into chunks. Add to the blender and puree again.
Add ginger root into the blender, if desired, and puree.
Strain through a mesh sieve and a coffee filter into a pitcher over ice.
Pour in lemon-lime soda and stir.
Serve in glasses rimmed with a cucumber wedge and enjoy!
***If alcohol is preferred, mix in 3-4 oz. alcohol of your choice.
