Fudgy Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
This frosting is thick, creamy, and so rich it almost tastes like fudge. Perfect for piping, swirling, smoothing, and inhaling, if you're into that kinda thing..
Just LOOK at that! Don't you just want to dive into the bowl head first? It can't be just me. I would love to lay my head down on a pillow of this fluffy stuff. Although I would not love the consequences-frosting in your hair is the worst!
It's nice to know that some things are certain. Right now I find myself in a place where I am uncertain of many things in my future, and a lot of decisions that need to be made are up in the air. When I get overwhelmed with not knowing how things are going to end up, it's nice to know that there are certain things I can control, and that I can count on turning out just right.
This is why I love baking and creating so much. I bake when I'm happy, sad, bored; baking is my outlet for everything. And while life may not go the way I particularly want it to sometimes, baking is there to help me clear my mind, regain focus, and make beautiful and delicious things.
What is your outlet?
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
- 8 T. dutch-processed cocoa powder
- a pinch salt
- 3-4 cups powdered sugar
- 4-5 T. heavy whipping cream
